As of Plucky 1.17.54, Firefox is once again supported on Windows and macOS.
Download
Firefox can be downloaded for all platforms from https://www.firefox.com/.
How to enable support for Firefox
To enable Firefox support on Windows and macOS, invoke: pluck + okfirefox and pluck repair, and then restart Firefox after the delay has elapsed.
On most Linux distributions, Plucky should support Firefox out of the box, unless Firefox is a snap in which case take a look at the Linux notes for information on getting a real browser.
Differences between Firefox and Edge support
Plucky’s support for Firefox is a bit different from support for Chromium-based browsers such as
Edge.
Advantages
- Private Mode browsing is supported with Firefox on Windows (Plucky extension is forced)
Disadvantages
- Firefox doesn’t yet support the safe features
