Can be enforced with DNS filter

Many VPN providers support setting custom DNS servers so that you can use a VPN in combination with a DNS filtering service.

If your VPN allows setting custom DNS servers from within the app, simply add your addresses there.

If the option is unavailable or paywalled (such as with Proton VPN), you can manually set it up from your device’s network control panel by selecting the VPN.

On Windows the settings are contained in Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Proton VPN > Properties > IPv4 > Properties
