Instructions for those who love text
In a Chromium-based browser:
- Visit https://getplucky.net/.
- Click the “installer” button.
- Click Save File.
- Click the download arrow, and click Plucky.pkg.
- Review the hairy part below.
- Follow the installation wizard prompts.
- Do the hairy part below (ewe).
- Restart your browsers.
The hairy part
The following screenshots are from macOS Sequoia, but they can be adapted to Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey or Big Sur.
The first screenshot shows the Plucky icon in the dock. This icon will animate when action is required. Click on the icon whenever it jumps and you will be guided through the install process as shown in the remaining screenshots.
Phew! If you were able to do all that, congratulations! You are now one of the few, the proud, the able to install software that Apple has tried their darndest to thoroughly stamp under their +2 Iron Boots of Scary Dialog Boxes.
You’ll know the system feature is working if Safari is blocked.
